Niagara Falls Weekend Restaurant Guide

A weekend trip to Niagara Falls offers a whole world of possibilities, whether you’re traveling for romance, with family, or on a mission to take in some of Mother Nature’s splendor.

While the waterfall is, obviously, the main attraction of any Niagara Falls trip, it is not the only attraction. You’ll have no problem finding other exciting activities to enjoy during your stay. Since you’ll be staying two full days, we’ve packed this guide with ways to make the most of your stay.

Friday: You’ll arrive in the city sometime Friday evening after the workday is done. The first thing you’ll want to do is take care of dinner. Wine on Third is the perfect place. This upscale restaurant and wine bar offers a Tapas menu and features more than 80 different types of wine, including several from the Niagara Wine Trail. You’ll want to plan ahead for this one and make your reservations early.

Saturday: Start the day with a great breakfast. We suggest Kim’s International Café at the Gate. It serves breakfast daily and offers vegetarian selections to accommodate a wide range of dietary needs.

Lunch – No trip to Niagara Falls, NY is complete without a quick side trip to Lewiston for lunch at The Silo. Featured on Travel Channel’s Man vs. Food, The Silo offers delicious burgers, fries, hot dogs and more – including the famous Haystack (one pound of steak, melted mozzarella, and hash browns on a roll) – that are well worth the stop. It’s the view, overlooking the Niagara gorge, though, that steals the show. Dining on the patio allows you take in the view while enjoying a palate pleasing lunch. If you count yourself among the health conscious, the menu does offer salads as well as vegetarian dishes. The Silo is only open seasonally.

Dinner – Also in Lewiston, Water Street Landing provides a stunning nighttime view of the river and three separate menus: a lunch menu, dinner menu, and more casual side bar menu. Patio seating is available, though interior seating options still offer a beautiful view.

Sunday: You’ll need great fuel to get you going for your final day in Niagara Falls. Jet Port Restaurant on Porter Road is the perfect choice for breakfast lovers everywhere. The décor is a little dark and dated, but the breakfast is awesome and the price is nice. Breakfast is served all day after 7:00 am.
