Donation Drive Organized by Daughter in Memory of Father Gets Some Help from HUNT

Danielle Armstrong from HUNT Insurance shared this wonderful story about her daughter, who worked hard to help others this holiday season.
“Last year during 5th grade my daughter, Sydney Armstrong; was asked to finish a statement that started with "In 2017 I will..."

Her answer was, "In 2017 I others in need in memory of my Dad". She did some thinking and decided that children, especially babies, were in need the most around the holidays. She came to the conclusion that the St. Gianna Pregnancy Center located in downtown Buffalo was where she wanted to help others. Sydney wrote a letter to the HUNT Branch Director of Williamsville/Clarence, Gary Kenline, to ask if the office would help her collect basic baby items to donate to the center.

With the help of Barb Bonoff, Donna Hazen, Deb Ceglia and Joanne Mustarelli from the Branch, a baby shower for the St. Gianna Pregnancy Center was organized, complete with lunch, games, punch and door prizes! Altogether, Sydney collected enough donations to fill two cars. On December 12th, with the assistance of my [HUNT Insurance] General Manager, Jimmy Farah, we delivered all of the items to the Center. St. Gianna's was beyond grateful for the donations and was touched by both Sydney and the HUNT Real Estate Williamsville/Clarence Branch’s compassion to help others in need."

Great job, Sydney! And special thanks to the team at HUNT Williamsville/Clarence and HUNT Insurance, who helped organize the drive and shower with Sydney.
